Hello! My name is Vivian Jacobson, and I'm from California. I am super passionate about art, I love to paint, crochet, and sculpt. I am relatively new to journalism, so I am figuring out what my career aspirations are for the future. I love to write, but I am not quite sure what it is I want to write about yet through a journalistic lens. I am confident wherever I end, up I will be doing something that is interesting and creative to me. I am also open to a job in public relations and am curious to see how the two fields may overlap, or if I find myself favoring one over the other.
I'm excited to see how my current skills and interests might be used in this course, and I am even more excited to see if through this class I end up with a new interest. As I take more upper-division journalism classes, I am exposed to so many more ideas and opportunities. I am eager to see what this semester's assignments consist of and selfishly, hope that through these weeks and tasks I come out with at least a little more clarity or idea of what I may want to do after graduation.
